The Boer goat was developed in the early 1900’s and can be traced to the Dutch farmers of South Africa. The Boer goat has a rapid growth rate, excellent carcass qualities and is highly adapted to different environments. They are primarily raised for their meat.
They came to the United States in 1993. The Boer goats became very popular for the demand for high quality, lean, healthy red meat.
The Boer goats are very friendly, great brushers, and very easy to raise. A mature doe weighs between 190 and 230 pounds and a mature Boer buck can weigh between 200 and 340 pounds.
We support the local 4H kids and our animals have done very well at local fairs.
All our Boers are registered. Check our sales page for availability.
